ABOUT FIRST® LEGO LEAGUE (FLL)
Lego League is a competition put on annually by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) to encourage elementary and middle school students to solve real-world problems using their own creativity and resourcefulness. This is coupled with a collection of challenges engineered by FIRST and represented as small LEGO models, which are separated into “missions” and must be completed by a robot built by the team entirely out of LEGO parts. The teams do their best to excel in robot design, programming, and strategy to complete as many of these missions as possible.
For the past 6 years, Francis Tuttle has involved itself with FLL, mentoring the younger students, hosting qualifiers, and volunteering at FLL Regionals. The RoboDucks mentor several FLL Teams.
